Description

Fast & Simple to Use

The ReNu Ozone Mask Sanitizer is great for sanitizing masks of all kinds as well as small items and electronics. Simply place the N95, surgical, or EWOT mask or items in the ReNu, press the power button, and in only 5 minutes your mask or other items are sanitized.

An LED on the power button indicates that a cleaning is in process when lit and that the process is finished when no longer lit.

As an ozone generating cleaner, the ReNu Mask Sanitizer can eradicate germs from viruses and bacteria on your mask or other items such as cell phones, ear buds, paper currency and coins, toothbrushes, small equipment, keys, glasses, and more.

The ozone sanitizes and deodorizes rapidly, leaving fresh scent you maybe familiar with smelling outside after a lightning storm, only much more intense.  The Ozone smell is detectable at 1ppm but will be substantially higher immediately after use because of the high concentration of ozone produced inside the ReNu Ozone Mask Sanitizer.  Sanitized masks should be left to air out before use.

Ozone is a Great Anti-viral

Ozone destroys viruses by diffusing through the protein coat into the nucleic acid core, resulting in damage of the viral RNA. Virus have no natural protection against oxidative stress and their RNA is destroyed on contact with Ozone.  Ozone is effective against both encapsulated and naked viruses.  Ozone destroys the capsid or exterior protein shell by oxidation and then it oxidizes the RNA.

Numerous families of viruses including coronavirus, poliovirus I and 2, human rotavruses, Norwalk virus, Parvoviruses, and Hepatitis A, B and non-A non-B, and  many others have been demonstrated susceptible to the virucidal actions of ozone.

In the case of enveloped  viruses, ozone breaks apart lipid molecules at sites of multiple bond configuration and once the lipid envelope of the virus is fragmented, ozone oxidizes its RNA core and the virus is rendered inactive.

Non-enveloped or naked viruses like Adenoviridae, Picornaviridae, Poliovirus, Coxsachie, Echovirus, Rhinovirus, Hepatitis A and E, and Reoviridae (Rotavirus), have a nucleic acid core (made of DNA or RNA) and a nucleic acid coat, or capsid, made of protein. Ozone denatures the amino acids of these capsid proteins, forming protein hydroxides and protein hydroperoxides, which intern oxidize the virus DNA and RNA inside the capsid.

1 review for ReNu – Ozone Mask Sanitizer

  1. Dr. Taylor

I recently purchased the ReNu Ozone Sanitizer. I’m using it to sanitize my n95 mask, keys, and cell phone. It works fast and things come out smelling strongly of ozone. It seems like it’s working. Thanks!
