Description
The Apollo Desktop Cold Laser is designed to accommodate a variety of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, physicians, massage therapists, chiropractors, veterinarians. It is available in as a single probe and in 4 (4,000mW) or 5 (5,000mW) watt. It can also be purchased with the second laser probe configured for .5 W (500mW) with fine tip aperture for needle-less acupuncture – AcuLaser. The Desktop unit detects the attached probe and powers it according to its appropriate load.
The combination 4W or 5W probe paired with the .5W AcuLaser second probe is our most popular laser set up, since so many of our practitioners are dual certified in acupuncture. Patients who might otherwise shy away from the use of acupuncture needles (for adjunct support of your primary therapy) rarely have concerns about cold laser.
Apollo’s low-level laser technology is designed to penetrate 2 to 3 inches into the skin to stimulate regeneration of damaged cells and tissues. Cold Laser Therapy also called Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is FDA cleared for pain, and had been demonstrated in more than 140 published studies to improve outcomes in everything from wound healing to headache.
Our practitioner patients report that use of the AcuLaser applied in place of needles or at acupuncture points with needles report similar and enhanced results respectively.
A patient relieved of pain, is a patient who makes referrals, and cold laser therapy is something that will set your practice apart.
For the multi practitioner high traffic practice, the laser might need to be used on each new patient with such frequency that the laser diodes don’t get the required 5 minutes rest between therapies, shorting the life of the diodes. High turnover chiropractic and athletic trainers trying to treat an entire team in quick succession, should consider the double, 4 or 5 Watt. Treatment times are slightly shorter with the 5W. Offered with matched strength probes, multiple practitioners, techs, and trainers can work simultaneously or alternate use of the right or left probe without having to rethink treatment time.
The Apollo is also the only cold laser currently available on the market that provides such high power within this price range. At 4,000 or 5,000 mW, it provides effective therapy that is 10+ times more powerful than other similarly priced devices, so that treatments last only 60 to 120 seconds, compared to 20 minutes. Few competitors offer the functionality of both standard cold laser therapy and AcuLaser in one unit.
Cold laser therapy is a modality that has continued to grow in use over the past decade. Low-level laser technology safely penetrates 2 to 3 inches into the skin to effectively stimulate regeneration of damaged cells and tissues, which brings about more rapid healing while reducing pain. Patients typically receive a series of treatments for conditions, including back and neck pain; sprains and strains; muscular pain; bursitis, tennis elbow, tendonitis and plantar fasciitis; headaches and facial pain; joint problems; inflammation; and post-surgical pain relief.
Every Apollo Laser System includes 90 days of free support from Dr. Curtis Turchin, MA, DC, a world-renowned speaker, educator and author with nearly 30 years’ experience in using laser therapy to treat acute and chronic pain.
With an average cash price of $65 per treatment, cold laser therapy make a great income center for any wellness practice. It can also be insurance billable using appropriate codes for for LLLT and LLLT with massage (smooth glass lens make it well suited for this purpose). And since it very safe for patients and easy for staff to use, your assistants can in most case preform all prescribed treatment, so you can add billable services without seeing less patients per day.
